From appearing in a stage production of The Sound of Music at the age of five to now writing and performing her self-penned songs on numerous stages, Heather Holland brings a unique slice of life to the musical scene.  Reared in Nashville where country music reigns supreme, Heather is all about the freedom and musical expression of a more alternative persuasion.  While relating to the likes of John Mayer, Norah Jones, Corrine Bailey Rae, and other current artists, the urgency of her vocals however helps to establish a sound that’s both new and refreshing.  Her sensitive and sensuous rendering of the five songs that load her current EP portray her unique ability to create meaningful lyrics while delivering them within a musical package ready to be opened.

 

Working in the studio at an early age singing on various children’s projects as well as later singing background for other artists, gave her a front row seat to the recording process.  She gives much credit to this having contributed greatly to her musical development.  A creative environment found her working with great songwriters and has helped to hone her craft of writing songs that are compelling and which truly reflect her own artistry.

 

Heather continues her pursuits with all the love and passion that has continued since a five year old first stepped onto the stage and performed in The Sound of Music.
